For GPs & referrers

Referring a patient with kidney stones

Dr Kooner welcomes GP and specialist referrals for acute renal colic, newly-imaged kidney stones, recurrent stone formers, and patients requiring stent change or metabolic review. Urgent stone referrals - particularly with obstruction or suspected infection - are prioritised.

  • Fax or email a current referral letter with CT KUB report and any relevant pathology.
  • Indicate urgency (for example, obstructing stone, any fever, or rapidly rising creatinine).
  • Include patient contact details so the rooms can book directly.
